I don't like the boxy style - w7 aero seems to look better in my view. However, I like the larger font size for titlebars, in fact, I changed it myself (changed it from 9pt to 10pt). Actually, I also view word docs at 120% size since Calibri 11pt seems to strain my eyes a tiny bit. (I don't have glasses though.) Again though, why'd they make windows 8's aero theme boxy? And the basic non-transparent theme is just plain ugly. Your views?

I feel like the sharp edges on the corners of the windows are gonna rip my mouse in half if I'm not careful... but overall it's fairly nice, I am dreading having to learn the secrets of it because of my inner Mac is rebelling ;-)

I have the vision of a hawk, I can see microprint/small text with ease so the titlebar font didn't bother me too much.

I definitely like the new task manager, no doubt. However, I find the login screen to be a bit odd - you drag the image up to login? What's wrong with Windows 7's login style?

Remember, it is still in Beta. It may go through all kinds of changes before it is released. I still don't like the idea of taking something intended for Tablets and other protables and porting it to the PC as it looks like the case with Windows 8.

No kidding. Granted, I imagine there'll be a way to disable the metro UI easily, perhaps that by default on a non-touchscreen machine, as otherwise businesses won't accept it (heck, they still stick with IE6 and XP!). But even if I had a tablet, or a touchscreen desktop, I would not want the metro UI. It's simply not functional enough. Simply make the icons bigger on regular Windows and you'll be fine.

I'm not going to game with a touch screen. That pretty much says it.

And how do you, say, use CAD on a touchscreen? lol...

I just noticed that you can no longer manually change values for things like the font size though. :( Darn!

**challenge accepted**

haha jk, but some things with graphic design work great with touchscreens (like rotating a 3D drawing on all 3 axis of motion) Touchup brushes in PS and activating actions & sliders and using a pen enhances some of the precision and I like that type of input when doing things like AutoCAD.

Well yeah maybe, particularly with photoshop, but metro is rather minimalistic, which won't help there (tons of toolbars and such).

I like Windows 8's new aero theme.
it looks nicer and neater to look at.
However Microsoft should watch out because OS X is still nicer.
