When I read PCworld I often jot down the reference numbers to look up on your site when I can get to them. There used to be a clickable search engine just using those numbers. I tried using your search on the home page. It never could find anything just using reference numbers. I finally copied an old reference url and finally discovered the articles page. What a pain in the rear! Even searching by the the subject doesn't mean you will find the article either without rummaging through pages of article titles. Come on guys you can do better than that. By the way if anyone wants to find an article use http://www.pcworld.c...x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x

Yes, we used to have a search box on the top red banner of our site just for find.pcworld.com numbers. We recently removed it because we found that many people confused it for our site search (and would type search terms instead of words) and were very frustrated with the results. The numbers still work, you just need to type the entire URL into the address bar of your browser -- for example, http://find.pcworld.com/54278 and you will be taken directly to the article. In addition, due to overwhelming response about our removal of the find.pcworld.com search box, we are working on adding it back to the homepage or site navigation. We really do care about making the site as easy for you to use as possible, and we appreciate the feedback on what you don't like, as well as what you like.Kellie
