You get what you get and either stop buying Apple crap or complain to Apple about it. Forums do nothing to solve problems. Call the maker! That's the only way to get the right people to listen.

I have upgraded 1 3GS,2 4, and 1 iPad2 and I have had no problems. Easy over the air upgrades. For those with demomstratable power battery problems as reported in "forums" take the device to Apple fore repair or replace.

I am still running stock iOS5 that came on the 4S and I haven't noticed any significant battery drain.

I followed the recommended things you should do for a new device. Run the battery down and then charge it back up to full.

I check sites that showed changing the settings in the Location Services might help. I left these at original settings.

If these users have several email accounts they are using like I do, they likely need to set them to only pull mail when the email client is opened.

It would be great if you can set the time for each email independently for how often it retrieve mail, and not just push/fetch/manually.

I noticed with Siri that even when you aren't using it, its location service is always running. Maybe she is way to busy for the battery to handle her. Maybe she should sleep sometimes.

i personally think these are user issues, i have 10 iPhones connected to my plan and NOT ONE had a battery issue (or any issue) before and after the update.... seems like idiots are ruining their phones and then bloggers are jumping all over it bc theres nothing else to write about apparently

My location services aren't constantly on with for siri on any of my 4S's, just a thought for ya

Well, from the iPhones around the workplace it seems to be only the 4 and 4s. The 3Gs models don't seem to be affected, or they aren't as much.

I used the 5.0.1 IOS upgrade and it fixed my problem immediately. No more battery drain on my IPAD2. Thanks for fixing.

I have an iphone 4 with the latest verion of ios 5.01 or whatever, I leave bluetooth on all day, I have Wifi on and the GPS. At the end of the day, I will be at 50% if I don't play too many games.

I upgraded to teh 5.0.1 and have not only gotten a deleted SIM card out of it, but also the drained battery life with the overheating. No, it's not the user, there is for sure something wrong with the code! Come on Apple, pull it together!
