So?
Was an entire article needed to show that MAYBE iPad users have a higher disposable income, and MAYBE, social media users are more easily led?
I was expecting some conclusion ....
More dumb "facts".
To disagree without being disagreeable is the art of debate. Simply because one has a strong opinion, it does not necessarily make an alternative opinion less valid.

As a retailer, you really have to focus on ensuring you have a relevant, hyper-personalized page when a mobile user comes to your site," he says.

That might explain why mobile sites have so quickly catered to iPad users. When I shop via my iPad, if I can't quickly find and buy what I'm looking for, I go somewhere else.

I question the rightness of this article. Like, how can a site know you are using a mobile device or a regular PC? What kind of information (if this is true) the IPad or mobile is giving to classify it as a mobile device? Is this an article to promote mobile sales?

Really?

What kind of information? The short answer to that question (assuming you're not just joking and I'm missing the punch line) is A LOT of information. Browser type, version, device type, OS versions, etc. More than enough to tell if it's a mobile device or a regular PC. That information can be faked, but it's probable that the vast majority of the time, it isn't.
