Of course it is! Apple wants you to buy one each!
If you don't like that idea, wait for a W8 tab with user accounts and complete cross device compatibility.
To disagree without being disagreeable is the art of debate. Simply because one has a strong opinion, it does not necessarily make an alternative opinion less valid.

Another thought is to use an app called "Our Pad". It's been working out well for my family of 5.
