I watched "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". I LOVED this movie!!! John Lithgow did a tremendous performance. I also loved the little touch with the space excursion to Mars where the astronauts ship disappears. I cannot wait for the next movie (if there is to be one) to come out.

I have a fairly large library of movies, but rarely watch them. I think the last I watched was a James Bond movie ( Quantum Leap I think ). I do remember watching Hostel and then Hostel II about the same time though. haven't had much time to watch movies as when I have some time, I am gaming.

The last time I watched a movie was because I'd downloaded it off youtube (a free documentary, called Fuel), and my crapcast internet went out for about an hour (every few days, it'll go out for a minute or two, and I don't know why). Uhh... gotta check the latest forum posts... (I don't have a smartphone, so I couldn't get online that way.)

We watch a lot of movies in my house (Netflix loves us), and the last really good one I saw was "Super 8".

(I will never admit in a public forum that I like chick flicks)

And where are you posting this? :D

In general, I find that most movies just aren't really watching. I prefer to spend my time playing games instead.

I have the entire collection of James Bond movies as well as the Indiana Jones stuff. I also like Horror movies, but not the slice & dice stuff as well SciFi. I'm not real big on comedies nor do I care for chick flics, although I am not sure of which Chicks flics he was referring to. :D There are chick Fics and then there are Chick Flics ( which usually go by under another name which will remain unnamed here :D ).

Ah, but have you seen "Super 8"? Which, by the way, is NOT a chick flick.
It's directed by JJ Abrams, the same guy who directed the Star Trek reboot, and produced by Steven Spielberg. How can you go wrong?

One movie I saw that I liked is Space Balls. Basically, it's a parody of Star Wars.

If I recall correctly that one was directed by Mel Brooks. The Darth Vader character with the giant helmet was my favorite.

It's kinda odd how they always have these huge explosions in space... but there's nothing to transfer those vibrations, therefore you hear nothing! lol... Also, I wonder how jamming a radar dish would hinder its' functionality. (literally - flinging a huge jar of jam at it) There are definitely some nice jokes in it.

How was it? I bought it for a Christmas gift, so I'll probably be watching it Christmas night or the day after.

I just watched "Unknown" yesterday, it wasn't half bad. I rarely go to the theater, maybe twice a year, the last time I went was for Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

I hardly go to the movies either. The last time was when I went to a little college town near Sacramento for a few days and was a bit bored.

Excellent, I really enjoyed it. Great acting, over the top special effects, bad guys you love to hate --- all good.

I got about 1000 movies on my PC, just watched avatar.

I dont go to movies anymore, they are always screwing with the color and shaky cam and lens flares and other stupid effects. Not wasting my money on that.

Just a week ago, my first time in a walk-in movie, I went to see the new Ghost Rider. It was in 3D and it was enjoyable. The glasses were comfortable and didn't give me a headache. A very good continuation of the first and has left indications of at least one more sequel.
