I have a problem with my wireless mouse. It double-clicks when I want it to single-click. Is it time to get a new one...the one I have now is about 3-4 years old?

Also, I have the receiver plugged into a hub that also has a thumb drive and a receiver for a wireless keypad plugged into it.

Try turning the mouse on/off, there's likely a button on the bottom, if not remove the batteries for a moment. Occasionally my logitech LX310 mouse (LX7 that is) hiccups and that fixes it.

Now it's acting like the buttons have a short in them. When I click and drag (such as in a spreadsheet), it spontaneously "unclicks" and then "reclicks" on the next cell (but it doesn't do this unless I have already started my click and drag). Also, to elaborate on my original post, whenever I single-click and the mouse double-clicks, there's nothing that I can do to slow down the double-click speed (e.g., I went into the mouse control panel [Start--->Control Panel--->Mouse], clicked the Buttons tab, and moved the Double-Click Speed slider all the way to Slow, to no avail).

May I ask what mouse this is?

You can try putting the reciever directly into the computer instead of through a hub, though I doubt that if you have been using this setup for a long time already, that changing it will do anything. Chances are, this mouse is starting to die.

What mouse are you using?

I bought a mouse from a super-market. The receiver broke down soon.

Now i have a Logitech Mouse and ARCTIC keyboard. They both work well.

But, i would like to buy a mouse-keyboard kit for gaming.
