Going way back here. Our Gang. In Minneapolis the local TV station had an afternoon cartoon show called Axel's Treehouse. The main character was Axel played by Klellen Card. When he became sick and needed a 24 hour attendent, they introduced an assistant that was really his nurse. When he passed, the nurse took over the show. I don't know if it still airs. There was interaction that was mostly off screen, a bit like Soupy Sales used to do, with a cat and a dog. Funny how even the littlest things when you're small will stick with you for life.

I liked the Little Rascals, too.

Scooby Doo was cool. My mom wouldn't let me watch it. Though she never seemed to mind me picking up her Stephen King books when she was done with 'em. I guess some fake ghosty villains who inevitably confessed everything and then cursed 'those kids and their derned dog' at the end was worse than reading about, well... what was in those books. At least I was reading, and not watching the boob tube!

Saturday morning used to be crammed full of crappy Hanna Barbera animation. Now it's a couple of hours of really crappy Japanese shows that (while having better drawing style, on average, though approximately the same level of animation), are somehow even more retarded.

I have to agree with "The Little Rascals". Those things were fun. So many Cartoons, Looney Tunes and the like. :D Then there was "Sky King" which I liked and was not a cartoon. There was plenty for kids to watch on Saturday mornings for sure.

I used to watch, "I love Lucy" a lot. I have always laughed at the way she whines whenever Ricky tells her that she can't be in the show. I have also enjoyed watching VR troopers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Those were indeed the good ol' days when there wasn't any crap on TV.

The TV Land network airs some those old shows. Sky King was a good example and another was Sea Hunt. As I grew older, Have Gun Will Travel was more interesting than any of the other western shows.

When I was a kid, I loved to watch Mysterious Cities of Gold. Every episode concluded with a short documentary about real life in Latin America. It was so interesting for me to watch.

Hey Guy, Yeah, it has been a long time. :D Everybody seems to be doing fine around here. I'm getting overloaded with computers. Have two Desktops and two laptops and a Nice HP courtesy of my Brother-in-Law, That I hope to get running
at some point ( needs a motherboard, which I have ). Ummm, I didn't think Benny Hill was intended for kids. He came on late around here.

While kind of tame by today's standards, The Benny Hill show was definitely not intended for kids. In today's world, it might earn a TV-14 rating.
