you also didn't mention Driver Max, even it's free version lets you download driver updates (limit 2 per day) unlike the others which are look only for free.

Thanks for the comment, pshane45. We are hosting SlimDrivers and have a review of the previous version. If you'd like to write a User Review at that URL, it would be great to have it there for everybody to read.

Have you looked at Driver Genius, I find that it is an excellent piece of software and does a great job.

Well sorry to say Slim Driver isn't freeit's like the rest of the driver updaters here you pay $39.95 for it or it's reduced price of $29.99. Thats how you register it. I know tried it out. As i have tried out all the rest of these. Funny i only need one Driver for my Mother Board Chipset and the Asus company doesn't have it. So where are they going to get it?

cnet recomends slim driver as it is free and works great on 32 and 64 bit operating systems...i've been using it for about 6 months ( on new and also older computers ) with no problems yet

Sorry i found i had been redirected by Diver Doctor and after it loaded it shunted me to it's website to register, Really nice of Driver Doctor to do redirection. I tried out the slim Driver and it found several drivers, though the one i was looking for, i would like to know were it found it. As i spent weeks trying to get that driver myself. It's a nVidia Raid Pci dual driver for the chipset that Asus said they didn't have, and nVidia also said wasn't in their Driver base. The only thing i can say is it installed the drivers and left a media .exe on my desktop of which i have no idea what it's for? I run in raid 0 on windows 7 x64 bit professional. many of these drivers that were replaced were for Microsoft generic drivers. Thanks and sorry i haddened noticed the redirect that Driver Doctor had done.

Also, you didn't mention "DriverEasy", which comes in free and paid versions, works nice. :)
I will try now also "slim driver" (the full free version), seems to be very good :)

I find SlimDrivers best too. No limit of amount of drivers you can download like DriverMax has with it's free version. Only thing I don't like with SlimDrivers is the fact you need to reboot each time.

Best is to manually download your drivers, it's the best method to get latest drivers and there is no need to install an additional software for just finding out your drivers. Search google to find out the way to do it.

I have tried all the free driver updates out there!, Slim Drivers, their drivers arn't that new and they even find older drivers than the ones you have!, Device Doctor isn't that great also!, they find the wrong drivers for your p.c. also!, have tried many other free versions, a waste of time!, tested Drivermax free and it is the best free driver updater out there!, with the free version you can download two rivers per day, automatic install!, and many more features!, there drivers versions are the most up to date of all the free versions i have tried!, mostly all!, i have tested Drivermax with paid versions, scan only, and Drivermax is better than most paid versions! plus it's free after free registration!, it is the best for free, better than most paid products if you can live with two drivers per day!, if not upgrade to the pro version!

I agree that having to reboot each time is a bore. On my first driver update it asked me to reboot twice and crashed on the second. I spent over an hour trying to update one driver and did not succeed. Draw your own conclusions
