Hello!
So I've bought a new HP laptop but I can't open It till Christmas!. It has a i3 processer and 6gb. The laptop originally cost 800 but what on a christmas sale and was made 600
Here's the link... http://www.pcworld.c...lxtimm&istBid=t
It is meant for gaming and programming but I'm not sure how good it would be for gaming. I know it could easily handle minecraft but do you think it could flawlessly Handle team fortress 2 and also skyrim?
Thanks in advance

That link isn't working.

What model video card does it have?

The i3 is not a good CPU. It is an ok CPU. Depending on what programing you will be doing the CPU will be fine or not. If it is any intense programing than CPU will not work well. Plus with i3 the graphic card most likely is an internal card that will not support many games. It will support some games at low settings.

You could have gotten sager np5160 for around $800 and it would have had a CPU i7 (Great processor) and a dedicated graphic cards (great card).

Windows 8 is a useless OS that Microsoft released that has many flaws and bugs. DO NOT USE IT. Use Windows XP or Windows 7.

Nope, the link is busted. Don't know, but I wouldn't worry about the i3, as it should be fine. The graphics is probably the Intel HD3000 as it is in this one. I already have an older Gateway 17" lappy ( P6813u ). Skyrim may be a bit dicey trying to play it on that thing, but less intensive stuff should do fine.

Dellinsp531, please stop it with the Sager laptop crap. Gee, his i3 HP probably cost around $400 or so, and you're suggesting a sager that's $800. I doubt he wanted to spend that much, otherwise he would've gotten a higher end laptop (maybe also an hp, maybe not).

I believe it could be this one : http://www.pcworld.c...uct-information I believe our poster may be in the UK and was looking at the PCWorld Super Store. Actually the one I linked to is a bit more than $600 USD.

He payed $600 if you would have read his post.

Yes it is true that his $600 is only worth $400 so he has already over payed by $200. Plus the original price for the HP was $800 (over by $400 what it is worth) so it is close to the Sager price tag.

Have you had a Sager before? Because it sound like you nver had one since your call "laptop ----".

Dellinsp531, notice that the only time the price was mentioned was in coastie65's post, which was after mine. I am guessing at the price, since I don't know the exact model (since the OP's link is broken).

I'm not sure, but I believe the poster is in the UK and proabablt trying to link to the PC World Super Store over there. I went there looking for an HP that would translate to around $600 USD.

That poster also has not said anything else in an attempt to clarify. I suggest we wait until the poster returns. Right now, all we are doing is speculating and bickering. Neither are helping.

I think it's not so much a bad configure.Though the configure isn't so good but it's a second generation laptop. If you configure your laptop it would be a good one.

Well i think you should have bought core i5 processor but the RAM is fine. Well if you have already knew about the price on Christmas, you should have waited for the Christmas.
