I can understand your need for a more substantive comment relevant to the article's content.
But, this is PCWorld, and not some wannabe amateur journalist's blog. There is a quality of writing that we expect as readers, and that is just lousy journalism. I was reading through the article... until I saw "would of," and began to wonder why I was reading some lousy writer's rant. Basically, it discredited the author in my mind, and the article along with it. Dsuden was doing a service by pointing out his mistake, so he could correct it and write better articles in the future, that don't have such distractions. You on the other hand, haven't (ofn't?) contributed much to the discussion, other than demonstrate to us on how to be a douche on the internet.

You nailed it. This isn't a little amateur blog (or at least, it's not supposed to be). It's a professional publication with a long history of computer coverage. Expectations have to be that the staff of writers (and their editors) pay attention to things like this. When they don't, I think it's a courtesy to point it out in a nice way.

Secondly I am also against the fact Apple yanks any app that makes them look bad because it makes Apple look bad. It's telling people if you don't kiss our ass, and make us look like the best thing in the world, then you're products built for our devices will be rejected or removed.

As to Apple: Shame on you. Almost every Android phone (except those peculiar AT&T models) can install any app from any marketplace, unresticted. This means that Google isn't forcing people to believe their politics, or their ethics -- just that they're trying to keep their personal store somewhat clean.
Do a search for "apk" on Google.com itself and you'll find dozens of other sources for content. This is what free speech is about.
