Lol the fire is selling like crazy and is already a success. Its nit a knock on Apple if there is another tablet that sells well. Competition is a good thing. Bravo Amazon and congratulations on a product that makes the tablet affordable to the masses.

i bought one it's the perfect size and love the fact that i can browse the web easily (and fast) AND read my books on it.......i sold me higher priced Acer Iconia tab (very heavy) on ebay, and bought the Fire, and I still had about $ 140 left over to use for other things!

I did the exact same thing! Well, nearly the exact same thing. I sold my Acer Iconia tab on craigslist and bought the Kindle Fire. I am so happy with it, the size is fantastic and convenient.
