This is a bizarre thing for me. My mom has a HP laptop. When she is on the internet, she will get a purple screen and in the middle it will say "He's dead." or "He's dead Tim." or different things like that. I haven't personally seen this but it happens occasionally. When it does, it pops up for a second or two then disappears. I ran different anti virus scans and other programs and found nothing. Anyone else have something like this? I'm stumped and can't figure anything out.

What, in Chrome? Yeah, I know the message "He's dead jim!". How much ram is free on the PC while surfing the 'net? What are the system specs? (ram, cpu, OS, etc) What addons do you have installed (go to tools, extensions or whatever it is - I don't have chrome installed right now so I don't remember off-hand). Do you get any issues with other browsers, like Firefox?

She does run Chrome. The whole screen goes out, it's not like when a page doesn't load and it says 'Oh Snap'. Sometimes it will happen when she loads the computer. She has 4GB ram, windows 7 64-bit, i3 cpu.

It's a Google "Sad tab" page just like "Ah snap".

To evoke this image you can open a new tab and type about:kill in the address bar.

I don't know if this is what pops up. My mom says it's the whole screen and only appears for a split second. I'll run this by her and see if this is it.
