Whats Running 2.2 - 31 I.P connections. NORMAL?

Hello, My net connection is rather slow so I started investigating it and I downloaded a program to show all of what's running on my machine. The name of the program is WHATS RUNNING 2.2 and it shows 31 I.P. Connections with my machine. Some of them go to NEW YORK another to LA.Is that normal ?What else can I do in regards to finding out what is slowing me down? Any tips ?-vodmare.

Do you have a torrent client running? If so, that would definitely cause a decrease in your speed.

I do but as far as I know they are not running. I just downloaded the ZoneAlarm Firewall and got rid of Norton 360 and it speeded up from 570k to a little over 3 megs. So maybe that was part of the problem.....-vodmare.
