There are so many different cables out there and some are cheap and some are expensive. My question is; what will do a wonderful job for a great price, even if it's a few dollars.

I need one for my pc for gaming and videos, also for my PS3 and XBox. I have a 32" 1080p 120Hz tv.

If you only need a cable that a meter or two long, get one from monoprice.com (I've heard this site mentioned plenty of times for cables, and a cable that's a meter or two can be had for just a few bucks) or amazon. A cheap $5 cable will work just as well as a $100 Monster one there - it's a digital signal, so as long as your equipment can distinguish what's a 0 and what's a 1, you're fine. If you need to go, say, 10 meters (perhaps to run the cable up to a projector on the ceiling), you may actually need a Monster cable, as cheap ones don't work well there.

Look at these: http://www.monoprice...i+cable&x=0&y=0

I found these two on newegg. Which would be better to get or is there another cable on newegg that would be a better choice?

Honestly, both look good. You could roll a die I guess...

I've found that the cables cost is determined by the construction of the connectors. If the cables are to be connected and never touched again, such as in an entertainment system, the cheap ones will do the job. But if the cables are to be reconnected many times during the week, as in a gaming setup that is moved from room to room, the more expensive ones will last longer.

And meanwhile, my dad had a monster coaxial cable, and the connector on one end broke off.

Ok. I have a 32" tv that everything is hooked up and only has 2 HDMI ports. So I'll have to switch them each time that I play which isn't as often as some would say. This will only go on til I get another tv to hook my systems up to. If these ever go out too, it's just a $5 replacement.

If push came to shove, you could hook up one of the Gaming machines as an RGB Component ( I'm pretty sure you have that option available ). Granted it would only be 480p, but it looks pretty good ( I have my PS2 hooked up that way ).

You could get an HDMI switch. This would allow multiple HDMI devices to use one HDMI port. That is how I am currently setup.

I think component supports 1080i (not sure about 1080p though). Sure, analog video isn't completely sharp, but that's only visible with text.

You only have to look for one thing.

HDMI 1.3b Spec. As long as the cable you are buying meets 1.3b, then it will support EVERYTHING your XBOX and PS3 can do.

Most equipment (including the Xbox 360) supports 1080i over component cable. Though for what it is worth, I have seen equipment that would allow for 1080P over component.

I haven't used component except for the PS2. That is probably the reason I only get 480p.

Newegg
Amazon

Basically, just about anywhere you can get HDMI cables...such places likely will sell HDMI switches as well.

I got mine through Amazon several years ago.

I didn't really think of Newegg at first, which they have everything. They're like a Walmart without food. Haha. I found a 3 in 1 switch for around $21. It has good ratings and is cheap.
