More than 4GB max notebook ram offered out there? Any rumblings of what may be out soon? -- Clarification, 64bit Vista world, Dell & HP offer up to 4GB RAM, what's the next level?

Well don't forget that there is the limit on 32 bit Operating systems that 4 GB is all that can be addressed so there aren't likely that many of them but I suspect there may be some portable graphics workstations that could sport such a possibility though I would wonder if there is good driver support for the parts on such a system.Regards,JB

You should have no need for more than 4 gigs. Nothing you can fit in a laptop would require that much. And like previously stated, any 32 bit processor cannot even use any more than that.
