HELP with uploading video

Hi everyone. I joined because I need some help uploading a video on an SD card with a Kodak EasyShare c643. I have a video that I NEED to upload onto my mac. In iPhoto it says ready to import one video, and it says finishing import, but the video never ends up on my computer.Please help.Thank you

Tell iPhoto to not open when you plug the card/camera in. When the card mounts on the desktop search for the files then drag and drop it on the desktop.
