A quad core tablet that runs apps at the speed of light, then takes 4 hours to recharge for 30 minutes of run time, and when you hook up to the net you pay out the A$$ to your ISP for the privilege of hooking up to their slow network LOL just what the world needs.

As someone that has owned two Android phones, one single core and one dual core; I can attest that my Droid Bionic is blazingly fast compared the decent single core that was slow to just load the phone dialer if there other apps running. So the answer is that while most apps do not require a dual core, some do; and the operating system definitely runs much faster, smoother and without bugs with a dual core. As the apps become more and more advanced so will the need for power. Do you expect the state of mobile devices to stay stagnant?
