Hello everyone,i need help.....I want to learn to program(software prog.) but i dont know where to start.I will appreciate if you guys will tell me what programming language to start with and what are the good book(s)to buy.As of now;i know nothing about programming...

Hi!
I guess your first step would be to choose an environment. So, do you want to programme for desktops (which ones), or maybe for internet (webpages, mobile...?)
Than you have to ask yourself if you want to go for OpenSource things (php and such), or Windows (ASP.NET) or maybe Mac or something else?
Than your choice of language and platform will be easier. Or at least you can get better help
