If running Windows 8 on an ARM style device, will it "only" be able to run "Metro" apps? (i.e. - ALL you existing Windows apps will NOT work.)
I've heard that running on an ARM restricts Windows 8 to only running 'Metro' style apps, but can't seem to find a Microsoft statement or answer to this.
If you are restricted to Metro on ARM devices, like the plethora of tablet devices, then what really is the point of Windows 8? I mean I can already play Angry Birds on my phone and Android tablet and can't think of any reason at all to get stuck with the Metro only interface and apps!

We won't really know for sure until the tablet is released, but according to this other article:
People are already raising questions about whether or not Metro apps have a place in the enterprise, and complain about the fact that there’s no way to run legacy x86 or x64 apps on Windows 8 ARM devices. Now there’s another big, additional asterisk for business users who might have been pondering a sexy Snapdragon S4 or Tegra 3 quad-powered device.
My guess is that it's true, and Microsoft likes the answer to your question to be cloudy... to keep you waiting until you can get a Windows 8 tablet, rather than having you go out now and buying an Android or iOS tablet.
