Good for AMD. I need to purchase some new laptop computers so hopefully I can try one out later this year.

Ultrabooks are ridiculously expensive. PC makers are too greedy... if they lower the price almost entire market would become ultrabooks.

The A-series pales in comparison to i-series, though.

Presumably, these will have i3 like performance, but great integrated graphics (compared to Intel), right? For the average guy who just wants to surf the web and maybe play a game, this looks like a pretty good option. After all, AMD has a better option than Intel when it comes to netbooks (the E350).

I find this hard to believe considering the smallest A series laptop was 14 inches. How are they going to go from that to 13 inch ultrathin. Also, the Trinity chip they are planning to do this with is based on the same architecture as their bulldozer chip, which failed miserably in performance.

I agree that the performance should be enough for most people, but then again i am worried that certain applications will run slow enough that AMD will look really bad next to intel
