Three days ago, I read an article talking about Samsung lawsuit over its mass LCDs power failures. I wasn’t satisfied with what I got from the site, so when I research other sites, I tumbled on this blog that really open up the story. I guess Samsung may not be able to compete with top rivals like LG in the OLED TV market business since this power defect thing may affect Samsung somehow. http://newtech-moder...-to-settle.html

This should not effect Oleds as they are still under Samsung Electronics, and being made by a different development team. The are having a hard time of it though because RGBOled(SS) is a lot more difficult to mass produce. Also Woled(LG) does not have that blue shift caused by having the sub blue pixel twice the size of the R and G.

Rest assured Samsung will have an Oled TV I personally don't think until 2013 but that is just speculation. They may have to change to Woled to produce at the volume and cost price needed.

This will likely be a serious problem for Samsung, but not a fatal one. This sort of thing happens to every company that manufactures products. They ship out some defective products, they get sued, they spend some money on recalls and payouts, they eat crow. Then they go back to what they were doing, hopefully a little wiser.

Remember when Toyota breaks were failing a year or so ago? It was so big that humorist Andy Berkowitz suggested a new ad campaign: "Try driving a Toyota. You'll never stop!" What happened. Toyota had to call back a lot of cars for free brake replacements (including my wife's). But people are still buying Toyotas.

True but I think they were a lot less sneaky about it, Samsung knew and did not tell any body.

But just like my comment above this I think they will have a Oled TV in 2013. I will probably hold off buying a Samsung product for a while.
