Guess TVs are getting bigger and thinner…I'm afraid of seeing a TV which is bigger than my house….

With a super thin bezel like that it would be nice to fit a 55" in a 55" space most time people have a set area that can fit the TV but the stand and the bezel take up so much area that they are forced into a smaller screen. This would fix that problem. If you have space for 55" in your house entertainment center then this will fit perfectly.

yeah you're right. The LG 55-inch OLED TV is very slim and cute. My advise to you is that, before you purchase any, try to make sure that the TV would fit into the space already designed. You can also cjheck this web site for more clarification; WWW.lgblog.co.uk

Not going to happen. Never has, never will. New technology is introduced at a higher price. WHY? Because someone has to pay for the R&D, new factories, and so on. The first few people will pay $8,000-$10,000 for their OLED TV's, then after about 3 years, they will hit the "pro-sumer" market - about $3,000-$5,000. After that, prices will start to drop.

Of course, I don't have a problem with this. Those folks buying first gen gear can work out the bugs. I will wait for a complete product.

Don't think they would build new factories. In all likelyhood, they would just start another line for the new product, if possible, in an existing factory. It is done all the time. They would discontinue production of a product, then if necessary, retool the line for the new product.

waldojim, good news has arrived. Someone apparently stole the technology from Samsung and LG so we might see a lower introductory price of the LG OLED TV.

I saw this in person and it was a lot more amazing than it was than watching it on youtube clips. The image quality was ridiculous.
