My shinny new iPad 2 has arrived. Never touched one before (got it as a gift). I've never touched a Mac & don't have a cell or smart phone. I want to jailbreak the iPad, but first, I want to make sure I have a backup that will completely restore the iPad back to the original factory setup so I don't end up with a brick by accident. I will be using the Windows version to jailbreak. Is there a link that explains how to back it up and restore it to factory conditions, and is it really possible to restore back to factory conditions if it becomes a brick? Thanks so much for any help!

Mine still shows the webpage as opposed to starting the Cydia program.

I tried turning on VPN 8 times and nothing happened....

Well, Ive done the VPN ON now 10 times and didnt get a restart from my iPhone, so I should just manually reset the phone myself and restart the entire process?

im trying to use this on my iphone 4s i have absinthe but when i connect my phone it always says "Error detecting device (lockdown error -3) how do i fix that?

Hi PLEASE PLEASE HELP.
I have followed instructions clearly and have had no success.
I am on the correct firmware.
I downloaded absinthe for mac.
Went thru process to completion.
Clicked icon on my 4s.
Screen said waiting for absinthe to complete.
Screen said didn't work try this.
Tried all.
Switched on VPN in settings.
clicked ok on error message.
No luck.
went to VPN in general/network.
Clicked on error ok.
No luck.
EVEN RESTORED PHONE (PAIN IN THE..)
Checked firmware was 5.0.1
Deleted icon on phone and tried numerous times
Please help.
What should I do.
