Blu-ray Combo Drives Reading Red Laser DVD, with Blue Laser?

How can a Blu-Ray drive (with a Blue Laser), read a regular DVD, which requires a Red Laser? Do Blu-Ray burners also have a Red Laser? Also, since Blu-burners DO read regular DVD's, are they as accurate as a Red Laser?

I've asked this question many times, but nobody seems to know the answer.

Yes, the drives use multiple lasers.
