Samsungs 75" is $7,999 uggghhh why waste money buying that instead of an Oled TV. I can't understand paying top dollar for old tech.....early adopter fury go! Not to mention that is crazy expensive when a 90" DLP is only like 3k or a super duper nice projector is only 5k.

Nothing inherently wrong with old tech (up to a point). Manufacturers now know the issues with plasma and LCD, and have found ways to improve them. For instance, today's plasmas don't have major burn-in problems, and thanks to LED backlighting, today's LCDs have better blacks. OLED is still in its infancy. We don't really know how good it will be, or what long-term issues it will have.

That's why this sort of thing is called the bleeding edge.

Nah Oled is simply better than LED/LCD in every fashion. I can very much see your argument when one is new a dramatically more expensive but 8k for that Sammy is the same price.

Fyi, it's NOT lcd or led. There's the older CCFL-backlit LCD, the newer LED-backlit LCD, and OLED (which doesn't have an LCD at all), as well as Plasma.

OLED TVs will definitely have a 3D feature to it, but more than just watching the 3D. I believe what matters more is the high definition and the Smart TV features. Well that is basically what I care more about in the TV.
