funny thing is.. I have steam.. for Civ V.... ummm.. I think that's it. haven't been too impressed to go through any buy anything else through them. But then I didn't even buy Civ V FROM them. I bought the hardcopy, which of course forced me to use Steam.
Actually use Impulse (gamestop's version) far more.
Can't say this holds any interest for me

Seems we have an Impulse employee up in here.
How many games do you even own.
Steam has half off deals on tons of games. Nothing comes anywhere near it. It's not perfect, it has a crappy offline mode, and sometimes it seems to encourage processor-sucking services when it's running, but everything else out there is far far worse. Impulse might be cool eventually, but they will need to be incredibly NICE to the customer before that can happen. I used Impulse once to download stardock products, it was forced on me and really I didn't see ANY amazing game deals, but maybe steam takes the good ones, i don't know much about Impulse. But Steam I do, it's a very nice software, i just wish i could run my steam games without steam running.
