The Internet browser has been improved for better support of interactive features and content display.

Seems simple and not big right? Incorrect to my surprise you can now watch streams on twitch.tv from your browser. Yes you read correctly, this is kinda something that Xbox always seems to have the new things such as YouTube apps, etc but for once Playstation has come out with a feature that they themselves might not even know works and should be relevant enough to actually to use as a ‘Feature’ or highlight to the update list.

To get your adventure started, we need a symbol. A sign of the journey to come. Load up Duke Nukem Forever, head to the toilets and steal some poo from the toilets (Turd Burglar – Bronze) for your first trophy. Then draw something on the whiteboard (Drawrings – Bronze), drink a beer in ‘The Duke Cave’ (Flagon Of Chuckles – Bronze), take steroids in the same place (Juiced – Bronze) and shoot the overhead blimp down during the first boss fight (Sunday, Black Sunday – Bronze).

Brink also awards you a host of Trophies simply for knowing how to press buttons, pretty much. Completing all the one-star challenges (Well Done! and Who’s Bad? – both Silver) and a three-star challenge (Very Well Done Indeed – Silver) is easy enough and when defending an objective, wait for an attacker to try to complete a primary objective and kill him (That’s How You Win A Match – Silver).

That shouldn’t take you too long, so you can round off the time by completing The Walking Dead: Episode 1, which awards you all the Trophies as you as make it through to the end, regardless of the decisions you make or how you play.

- Lower screen brightness
- Disable system music
- Disable mobile network
- Close apps
- Mute

2. Customize the interface
You can totally customize the look of your PlayStation Vita’s home screen. Touch and hold the screen anywhere to enter Edit mode. You can now rearrange the icons by sliding them across the screen, so you can put all your favourite games and features on the top panel to save you searching around, or group them as you please.

You can also delete items that you aren’t going to use, which will free up some memory for features and games that you do want to play, and you can add new pages to your home screen, which comes in handy if you don’t like icons too cluttered.

To truly transform your interface you can also change the background. Select a background (approx. 960x544), either from a screenshot or photo taken on PS Vita, or from your PC (you can transfer a photo via the supplied USB cable) and tap on the icon at the bottom right of the screen to select your image. This gives your PS Vita a more personal feel.

How to Download PSN Items to Your PS3 from Almost Any Location

Remote-Play Enabled Device
PSN Account

1. Set up Remote Play so that your PS3 and device can communicate with each other.

2. Test the connection by going to Network–>Remote Play on your PS3 and then initiating the Remote Play session on your device (for this demonstration, I used my Vita.)

3. Next, make sure that you are able to turn your PS3 on and off with remote player. If all the above is working correctly, you’re ready to go! Now to make sure that it’s working.

4. Switch your PS3 on with your device.

5. Go to the PlayStation Store and download anything. From here, you should be able to proceed as normal.

6. Wait for the download to finish. Now this part can be done in two ways, depending on your situation. You could just download the item in the background and wait for it to finish, or you could just set the PS3 to turn off when the downloads finish.

7. Once your items have downloaded, you’re done. For testing purposes, turn your PS3 on with your controller, and make sure that everything went smoothly, if so, then you’re good to go!

NOTE: If using a Vita, make sure that you don’t switch out of Remote Play or the session will be terminated. This means that you can’t switch to another application or even lock the device.

Subscribing to the PS3 and 360 Release Calendar

It’s very very easy, just follow the steps for the relevant bit of kit you’d like to use it on. iPhone or iPad
Easy one this – just browse to this page using Safari on your device and click the relevant PS3 or 360 image below. You’ll be asked if you want to subscribe; once you’ve picked the Subscribe option you’re done. Your calendar app will be full of upcoming releases for your choice of formats and will refresh itself at regular intervals without you having to do anything.

Outlook or iCal
Whether you’re on a PC or Mac you can set up the calendar in either of these programs easily. Again, open this page in your browser and click on the link below depending on which calendar you want. The relevant software should load and ask you to confirm a few settings. The defaults are normally fine – once you’ve confirmed the settings the calendar should be imported and be ready to use.

Thunderbird
Mozilla’s free email software has a host of add-ons, including the fairly brilliant Lightning which brings calendar functionality. Not only that, once you’ve installed Lightning (from here) you can set up a new calendar and follow the iCal wizard to subscribe to the calendars.

Google Calendar (for use with Android or web browsers)
When setting this up with Google Calendar there are a few more steps but it’s still nice and easy. Make sure you are logged into your Google Calendar (https://www.google.com/calendar/) and look for a section on the left called “Other calendars” – Click the Add link and choose Add by URL. Copy the address of the calendar you’d like to use (they’re next to the images below) and click Add Calendar. Everything will be imported and, again, keep itself up to date.
