Hey I think this video may have been brought up before here, I searched but I did not see it so sorry if it is a double post.

I am curious to just see after the fact 8 months ago 3Dtvs were being picked up a pretty good rate. Does any one have any personal anecdotes about gaming them?

More often than not, it is a PITA.

Movies are terrifix in 3d. But I have yet to find a game that was TRULY meant to be played in 3d. Call of Duty Black Ops, supports it, yet when you bring up a weapon to shoot down the sights, you end up with a headache inducing effect, as it cannot line up sights well at all.

Crysis was the single most visually impressive, but suffered the same problems ALL 3d shooters faced - sights are crap, and nearly impossible to use.

Other games, like WoW - work extremely well. But lack any natural depth, and thus kill the effect.

Did you have any games in particular that you were interested in?

The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov

There are many games that are great in 3D. Any racing game works great. Since i got my 3D TV (LG 3D TV) after I purchase my games, i had to rely heavily on the conversion. I admit not all games are good for 3D but a lot are. Every single racing game I have NFS, GT, Dirt, works great converted. I even played final fantasy 13 converted. I think the dizziness you experience when playing FPS games is quite normal. People experience that even without 3D used. I havent tried any MoM's on it but i did hook my pc to my TV and used the conversion for some old school emulated games like pacman and they worked fine.

Did you mean MMO's not MOM's? Mass effect 3 is going to look amazing. I have seen on the avs forum where I guy lists all the real stereoscopic games and movies these will look %1000 better than those that fake it.

Also my buddy plays swtor on a LG 3D monitor I tried it for like 15 mins seemed to add a lot to the games pvp from the visual standpoint but that game has no inherent 3D.

You're right it was a typo, sorry about that. I meant to say MMO. But I actually got a chance to see some MMO action on my TV this weekend. I downloaded a game called Tera,(the exiled realm of aborea) and hooked it to my TV via hdmi and it looked crazy good. I would have to say since the picture looked almost "too good" in 2D, it didn't look as impressive with the conversion turned on, but nonetheless, better than most.

@Jimmy have you played Grand theft auto with the conversion on? Its pretty damn good. I dont have an LG 3D TV or a 3D TV yet for that matter but I always go to the retailer here and play on the display TV. I think i want to wait for either the new 2012 TVs with google TV or the OLED, if i can save enough money.
