Looks like someone didn't do as good with the iPhone in the USA. If T-Mobile gets an iPhone next year, will their sales be lower?

Should be "161,000 contract subscribers"

And for the person who tries to come and say I have nerve to correct a spelling error because I make them, I don't get paid to spell correctly.

When there was rumors about iPhone finally coming to Sprint, and survey's claimed so many wanted an iPhone, I asked; with Sprint already having several top tier phones since 2009, the most from HTC, who was going to trade their Android device for an iPhone. Looks like not many. If you have even a 2 year old HTC Evo 4G, why would you give up 4G and go back to 3G?

When iPhone first came to ATT, ATT didn't have very many nice devices. Verizon did and even they said, for several months the HTC Thunderbolt even with its dismal battery-life was still outselling the iPhone 4.

If Apple had released iPhone on all 4 carriers at the same time. And didn't lock in ATT to 5 year deal, they iPhone could have really exploded even more here in the USA, since we are the largest buyers of the device.

Apple really missed a huge chance again where they could have been the Android of smartphones. This relating to Steve Job's comment that Xerox could have been the Microsoft of computers.

Yes Apple sells the most as a single model, but they could have had 4's the amount they have now and could have secured top in smartphones period.

My niece has had her Evo 4G since day one. She added another line so she could get the 4S. She says she doesn't like it because she got use to HTC Sense allowing the integration of Facebook which she is always posting. She doesn't like switching from app to app. I told her give it time to get use to the differences you have 15 days. But she said she likely will drop the second line before she gets locked in, and just go on eBay and buy the phone.

I suggested she get a Touch or iPad to get us to the difference before locking herself into a 2 year contract for a phone she already isn't happy with.

As usual, you limit your perspective to what makes you feel good. There is more to story the the one dimensional snippet offered as "information" by the author.

Personally i would love to see a weakened sprint get acquired by Google, along with Motorola. I for one would happily sign up for a "Google Wireless" service priced fairly in which Google released it's own Motorola made Nexus devices first.

When AT&T had the Iphone exclusively it basically lacked the Android phones and the other carriers had the Android phones. Blackberry was being carried by all and was ablet o hold it owns because of the business market. Once the Iphone moved to Verizon then AT&T started adding more Android devices to it's inventory.

The biggest problem with Sprint (at least in South Florida) is their 3G service sucks big time compared to AT&T. I had AT&T with an iPhone4 and it was decent, about 350Kb download speeds. Sprint in the same area is like... MAYBE 25Kb download. Totally Blows.

And also, in the same area (West Palm Beach, Boca, Ft Lauderdale), Sprint's 4G service is basically non-existant. There's a narrow strip down 95... and THAT'S IT. Unless you sit under bridge on the Highway (not wise), 3G is it for Sprint in South Florida. And 3G is awful.

Right now smack in the middle of Boca Raton I'm getting 40Kb download and 20Kb upload on my iphone 4s.

So yeah... I hate AT&T but Sprint has got to do something to beef up their service radius. No point getting 4G if it doesn't exist.

did they make a 4g Iphone I'm not aware of? If your getting 40kn dl on 3g, then I would say that is unacceptable

Sprint would have been far better off cutting their rates and offering the latest Samsung phones. The CEO's of Sprint and Verizon should be fired because they could have had APPLE eating out of their hands instead of vice versa. Complete Fools and I bet they take big bonuses for themselves for being so stupid.

The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov
