I have done lots of internet search and even on this site and I hope I have chosen the right section for this as i have come to my wits end and hope someone can help, if not at least I tried, but here it goes....I need help and not sure if anyone can help. I was given a laptop tha yes is older but its all i can do at this time but is useless if i can not locate for no cost from a giving individual recovery media for this item.
Apparently previous owner has deleted the partition so I can not access to get to original factory because pressing the 0 or anything else is no longer there and i do not have the disks of course. I am unable at this time to purchase this item and am truly hoping that someone out there is able to email the download so I put it in the laptop an restore it to original factory.
It is a toshiba satellite m45-s169 model PSM43U-01700P and of course has windows xp home edition.
I have tried everything but have come to realize they have for some odd reason deleted the hdd partition to restore to factory and no discs available and really need to know if someone could download it to me so i can do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for your time and look forward to some help

Do you have access to an XP Home disc? (it MUST be that, not Pro, not Media Centers) Borrowing one from a friend is ok. Use that with the license key that's on the bottom of the laptop to install. I don't think the oem/retail/volume thing matters, but I'm not positive. (the copy included with a computer is OEM)

I do not have access to any discs and everything i studied and read on this stated that i need the factory restore disc which is what i need to do and also stated that it had to be the same as the laptop model such as m45..if what i read is wrong then i guess ill have to look for that instead but i need to restore to factory setting...it does not matter if i lose anything on it, ive come to where i just need to start from scratch with this thing,go figure.

Is it a recovery disc, or is it an actual OS install disc? For instance, I have a Dell copy of XP, and it's an actual OS install disc. I could use that to install XP on another PC, using the license key that came with it and the appropriate drivers, if I needed to.
