I loaded Do Not Track Plus (DNT). I then discovered DOZENS of new cookies! Further investigation revealed these to be "opt out" cookies added by DNT.
I thought "opt out" cookies are nothing more than gentlemanly requests that advertisers and trackers are free to honor -- or ignore!?!
So, please tell me, is this really a "blocker" -- or just an app that automates the asking for us??

Oh,I'm out of date,I even don't know there is such an plus-in. Thanks for telling us. it's useful.
Just installed it in my firefox and the firefox rendering engine of Avant browser, works greatly. But I didn't find any difference about the " increase page load speeds"

unfortunately this is only available via cnet download.com (a well known source of junk toolbars etc. hidden in their downloads).
Also it will not dl in safari, i just get a webpage full of text.

Fortunately, AdblockPlus (which just about everyone uses already) makes something like DoNotTrackPlus unnecessary, if you add a couple extra subscription lists to AdblockPlus that block "annoyances" and "tracking".

Hi...I immediately noticed the same thing. If you would could you tell me where you read about what those were. Thank you.
And to all...I've noticed no problems using this add-on. Oh, cept like the first post on top...PCWorlds front page is a little messed up re the FB and Twitter buttons, just a little bit.
