agreed in that its sad to see Kodak exiting the camera biz but really they can only blame themselves. they came too late and lacking any fresh ideas or designs. i think they should keep doing what they do best; legacy film. offer physical film and professional developing services for film. :) some diehards still love having film.

It's probably a good idea for any company that only makes P&S digital camera's to follow Kodak's lead, but companies like Canon, Nikon and Sony that make entry level to upper end small format DSLR's in addition to P&S cams will do fine.

Makes me think that our current corporate managers are not on the ball to see Kodak let the world get ahead of them on marketing digital P & S. I fear we have a bunch of spoiled, luxury and parachute-oriented followers instead of real leadership people such as we would have had in the 19th century. Too much college? Or too picky personnel people who screen so thoroughly that bright, innovative people are ruled out for hiring? Communist plot?
