Sounds like Samsung tried to come up with something innovative this time, instead of just following Apple's lead in tablets and phones. Unfortunately for them, I highly doubt the Galaxy Note will be a big market hit.

I live in the Philippines, and have had mine for 2 months. I'm not a fan of 100% touch screen phones, but have to say that this is the best phone I've ever used.

How can you write a whole review about a phone and not mention call quality?

Call quality is discussed under "Performance."

Not even close. It's already sold millions worldwide. And I pre ordered it already. Look at amazon, 5 out of 5 star reviews. It's an iPhone killer.

Hello,

I can only imagine that there are many in the US who have never heard of the earphone/mic. Take a look at the Plantronics range.

No one would think of using the NOTE as a phone without an earphone/mic option available.

Besides, it makes for much less chance of having the NOTE stolen - when it's out of sight in a pocket.

I fail to see what gender has to do with cell phones. Also, you apparently didn't read the review so even if you are a big tough man, you have no authority commenting on it.

Yes, the onl little problem is that with that amount of money I can purchase many other things, like a real size tablet plus a phone that anyway will become almost obsolete in a few months. Sure Samsung make a great innovative work in a time when that´s hard, but time will see if it really was a good product or an "almost" new product. Every company thinks it is easy, until they discover it is not. And hey: I AM NOT an Iphone fan, I am a happy owner of an htc flyer and htc desire-z.

I have had my Note for less than a week, but already a huge fan! I have large hands and this device feels glove like to me. The display is crisp, the stylus works as advertised (albeit limited apps), the call quality is excellent (especially in 4G mode). I've been an iPhone users seemingly forever and that device clearly has its merits, but my comfort level in just a few short days for the Note has already equaled that for the iPhone! As of now "I shall not look back"!

Under the "Specs" tab, it's attempting to tell me that this phone has a processor speed of 1.4 MEGAHERTZ. Really? It should be in gigahertz, obviously, because if it were megahertz it would be in a museum. Come on, PCWorld, you can do better than that.

This will be my next phone after the price comes down. I have the Dell Streak 5 which has the 5" screen and love it. So it will be an easy switch. Being deaf and needing text and email, this phone is great for that. Plus for showing my photography to customers, beats most other phones too. I'm very surprised that Dell Streak didn't take off like the Samsung Note did.

5 Million Units shipped and counting...sounds like a hit to me.

I also have the Dell Streak, and have been researching the Note. It looks it will be my next phone as well. BTW, I love my Streak. Just not supported by Dell anymore.
