Install An Old Laptop Hard Drive In Your Desktop

My laptop died recently and I simply pulled out the drive, plugged it into the connection/interface taken from a western digital pocket drive (they pope off where the USB cable plugs in) and presto! in 5 seconds had another USB drive on my desktop with all my laptop files still intact.
