Hi. Hopefully someone can help! I woke up this am to find out that I had been sending emails all night! It appears that my contact list has been hijacked and I have been sending emails with links to contacts spoofing my address! I use yahoo mail and there are no records of me sending any of these emails! Nothing in sent or drafts or trash! My pc is currently off as I am away! I have changed my password to yahoo mail already from a secure computer!
Any ideas what happened and what to do? I never access or use public computers but have accessed by email from unsecured wifi networks!
Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no way to have an https yahoo email session. (gmail does this by default, hotmail can be set to do this, just about every other email provider out there can do this...) This would prevent someone from using firesheep (when you're at a unsecured hotspot, for instance) to get your logins for stuff. Use a vpn service if possible. Changing your password is the first thing I'd recommend doing here, and sicne you did that, hopefully the spam won't continue. I would also try doing an av scan on your home pc (with malwarebytes anti-malware), because it's possible some malware on that picked up your login for yahoo and sent it to an attacker, who logged into the account remotely.
