I would be extra-super-happy if I didn't have to pay a subscription and it would record 2 or 3 programs at one time.
Face it, folks, Tivo has us by the short ones unless you want to go DirecTV. I am not quite seeing the value for the subscription price. I may drop Tivo soon.

Once this device is available at a reasonable price, cable TV companies will offer it as a service. Bring it on.

What a waste of hard drive space and time. Every channel? Content should be sufficient with a LG or Panny TV on a smart Google TV platform.

Not only smart TV/Blu-Ray but cable DVR, Verizon DVR, and of course the already mentioned DirecTV problem with them and TIVO is the no more than 2 at a time, and when recording 2 you cannot even watch a third!

The new DIRECTV Home Media Center HD-DVR allows you to record up to 5 shows at the same time...
