Have Windows Vista 32 home and while surfing the net via IE8 (maybe, not sure what version), MSE pops up and says that this virus trojan:JS/blacoleRef.AD was detected, quarantined and removed. Anybody familiar with this virus and will MSE truly prevent it from getting into my computer and causing damage?
I have MSE, threatfire, Malwarebytes, Spyware Guard, and Windows Defender.
Is there anything else I need to do?

You only want ONE real-time av program (the free version of malwarebytes isn't realtime and won't conflict; MSE disables Win. Defender automatically; never heard of threatfire much or spyware guard.

You can drop Threatfire and Spyware Guard. Yoy have Malware bytes ( if it is the FREE version then you are fine as that is strict an on demand scanner and not running actively ). You could add the FREE version of SUPERantispyware for another on demand scan ( it looks for different things tham Malwarebytes ). If that thing was detected, quarantined, and removed, then you are fine.

Just google trojan:JS/blacoleRef.AD and you'll find plenty. It's never difficult to get info on a particular piece of malware.
