Hi guys,as the title says,I am using DSL and modem.sometimes my ISP redirects the website I want to connect to, to one of their own sites writing: DONT USE ROUTER BLAH BLAH stuff like that.
I try to use a proxy, I replace the DNS server, but it still the same.
I dont know how they find I am using a router. Can anyone help me and let me know how they do it? How to get rid of it?

Blow up them in our country is impossible.Otherwise, I would like to try it.
AND THX FOR U TO ENTER.

Hi and welcome to the forums. It would seem that you are using Google. I would try logging on using IE or Firefox and see what happens, instead of the ISP.

Thank you for reply, but its not browser's problem, chrome firefox or IE are the same.some websites still will redirect to ISP's warning site
Even by using a proxy.

The best solution I could think of, might be to get a router running true Linux. Then you can sort of hide what the router is - making it look like a PC. Otherwise, you may have to use a PC with 2 network cards. Connect one to the modem, and share that connection to the router.
"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov
