No more beta, the Avast7 version was released a few days back. Those using Avast6 should definitely upgrade. There are minor changes in UI but they add a lot to the glamour, specially the tab for cloud services & real time shields!


Quite a bunch of interesting new features added, which include remote assistance, rep services & streaming updates.
Anyways those using the beta version will have to do a clean install. And this time u get an option to make avast your second line of defence. It looks like some sort of compatibility mode in which u can run 2 AV's simultaneously, though this will affect the system resources.
I tried updating through the program but it did'nt work the first time. For some reason downloading of files was'nt possible. But the 2nd time, upgrade was successful to v7.0.1407 One thing to note would be that Avast7 by default installs Chrome! IE or FF users may not like this whole idea!! Why is it that u always got to have a free browser or toolbar in the equation??!
