This is primarily for Michael England PC Worlds Customer Service, but may apply to anyone using Windows 7. If you cannot reach the opening page of Answer Line, go back to the origional invitation to comment on Answer Line. After much discussion back and forth I finally figured it out. There are times I feel I should turn in my sanity badge. Many thanks to all of you who have helped to answer many questions and especially to Michael and Lincoln.

Hi, Michael, and you're welcome.

By "the opening page of Answer Line," do you mean of the Answer Line forum? Just go to http://forums.pcworl...24-answer-line/.

If you mean the opening page of my Answer Line blog, it's http://www.pcworld.c...nswer_line.html.

@LincolnSpector

Your 'Answer Line Blog' Has 37 Pages By Now.

I Did Not Want To Use The 'Next' Link ~15 Times, So, I Had To Fiddle With The URL To Find Your Very First Post There ( In A Dichotomized Guessing Mode, That Is ).

( I Understand This Situation To Be Related To Every Other Section Of This Site ).

Having Two Links With 'The Very First Page' And 'The Very Last Page' Would Be Nice.

Can Your Guys Talk To Their Guys ?

Thank You.

Answer Line goes back to before the Internet became popular.

PC World used to have a Q&A column called The Help Desk. In the early 90s, it was renamed Answer Line. I took over writing it in 1997. It was going online by then, but it was primarily written for print. That meant I wrote a monthly collection of tips that had to be an exact length. With rare exceptions, the online version was generally identical to the print one.

I was delighted when PCW decided to make it a blog in 2008, as I didn't have worry about word counts. The print version of Answer Line now comes from the blog, and someone else has to adjust the length to make it fit.

If you want to go to the beginning, the first Answer Line blog post is at http://www.pcworld.c...ldcom_urls.html.

I guess 37 questions in over ten years is not excessive. Thanks and a good job.

It Is Not 37 Questions.

It Is 37 Pages, Each With 12 Questions, So The Whole 'Answer Line Blog' Will Have 444, By Now.
