[Acesnd10s]

Ok so after learning that my modem created a problem with the lightfx on my Dell xps m1710 i took it out and i am waiting for a new one too arrive. So i decide to play a game i play a lot and notice that out of nowhere my fps drops to 5 or 6 as apposed to the regular 60-120. On top of that my ping is at around 200 instead of the regular 40. So after thinking back on how the modem seemed to effect parts of my system, and how i just took it out, i decided to put it back in and see what happens. My fos and ping go back to normal! So the modem plays a role in how my graphics card performs? And other hardware such as my wireless card? why is this?
