Hey guys,

So recently, My firefox browser has been really laggy and slow. I find this happends especially when I have multiple pdfs open (I use foxit reader).

I'm using Firefox 10.0.2. on Windows 7.

Any ideas? Is it time to switch browsers? If so, what browser do you guys recommend and why?

Note:

(I've been using firefox since before 2.0 so I don't really want to change).
(I would also prefer using a browser that supports AdBlock).

First, hit Ctrl+Shift+B and backup your bookmarks to an html file. Close FF and click start, type 'firefox /profilemanager' (no quotes). Delete your old profile and create a new one. Run firefox, hit Ctrl+Shift+B again, and import your bookmarks. Is it any faster now?

I use FF myself. Chrome is also a good browser, but with google being a big advertising company I feel I can't trust them. (FF and Chrome both support Ad Block Plus btw, no others.) IE is a piece of crap, and I don't like Opera's interface.

Well, I use Opera (10.51, i.a. speed dial, turbo mode) and it's good for me. It's a good browser. Everything you need is built in and you don't need to install extentions. I say most people use much hyped FF for Adblock(+).

its probally your cache, because i use firefox, also have chrome and opera installed, but firefox is my main one, its the same speed as the otheres, and i dont see much differance when im using FF compared to Opera or chrome, and btw the ie for win 7 is not that bad, i actually like it better then opera/chrome, better ui/looks
