Wow - never knew of the simple way to copy file path as you explained. No more shell extension needed :) Thanks!

Doesn't apply to XP Pro either. The writer should indicate the OS in his article.

Rick,
Please remember to include versions of Windows to which these tips apply. I discovered that the shift-right click does not produce the 'Copy as Path' selection in XP. However, if you have 'Display the full path in the address bar' turned on in Folder Options|View, you CAN copy the PATH (doesn't include file name) from the address bar. That at least provides an alternative for those of us stuck in the last decade.

Try mentioning the OS for future reference.
This tip does NOT work in XP Pro.

Well Jamie, we are NOT stuck in the last decade (or last millenium): we are stuck in the PRESENT ECONOMY (naming this economy as "Economy" is an oximoron, no doubt). Here in México we preffer food to a new PC/Lap/Note ··· We are PROLES, recycling & beating planned obsolescence for survival.

My compliments on how to make the bookmarks work on mp3's. This is nice information.

If the 2nd person to ask Rick for qualifications on the Operating system had read the comments 5 additional identical suggestions could be avoided.

When I download a book from my library into iTunes for listening on my iPod, the book winds up in music, not books. I make a playlist of the tracks so that I can listen, but I'd prefer that it went into Books rather than Music, to take advantage of some of the Books playing features. If I change the extension will iTunes now recognize it as a book instead of music? Will it even still play?

Thanks
Roel

In Windows XP Pro (at least, on my system), your "Copy as Path" did not show up when I RT-clicked on a ".jpg", ".doc", or ".xls".
