The only thing Win8 accomplishes is making it more difficult and cumbersome to use my desktop...that was working fine before I upgraded.
This reminds me of "New Coke."

It's about the lack of Metro apps and the very huge lead that iOS has in the number of apps for it's tablet...period. Get Windows developers to create Metro apps for you thinking it has a future on the desktop when it clearly doesn't. In short, it's a scam. Bad Microsoft...go sit in the corner until you can behave!

You've never used a mac before. 15 seconds for the MacBook Air to go from completely off to on the net.

Really....
Guess, you never heard of SSD... MBA use that..
Try to boot Windows 8 from a PC having SSD... it takes only 8 seconds and sometimes less...
PS: I do own MBA and Sony VAIO with SSD in it

So far from what I can tell, the Android OS is the closes to feeling like a real desktop, but with apps, but also folders and a file system.
I honestly can't quite imagine myself getting "work" done in either the ipad interface/system or the metro thing. (I have both an ipad2 and Android Tablet). By far the Android come out on top.

My dell core2duo laptop from 5 years ago: 25 seconds from cold off to browser with gmail.
Totally depends on what kind of garbage people load their machines down with.
My new desktop: 19 seconds to do the same.
My i3 laptop in the office which has alot of garbage running on it (and it's not mine so I don't touch it too much): 2 minutes from a cold start.
So there you go.

I just wasted my weekend to try Win 8
Microsoft created a New OS to prove that EARLIER versions of Windows like XP or Seven are still great.
