Tethered Jailbreak Already Available For Ios 5.1 With Redsn0w

To be clear, redsn0w does /not/ offer a tethered jailbreak option for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S: those devices are currently not able to be jailbroken at all if they are running iOS 5.1. All other devices, except certain early iPhone 3GS models, will be tethered with this version of redsn0w.
Currently, users wising to jailbreak an iPad 2 or iPhone 4S must use either cinject or absinthe, and these tools only support iOS 5.0.1 (or, on an iPhone 4S, additionally iOS 5.0). We currently cannot estimate if or when we might have a jailbreak for these A5 devices running 5.1.
Also, for the record, the limera1n exploit totally dominates all of the earlier devices: there was never a concern that we would not be able to jailbreak 5.1, and the turnaround time for updating redsn0w is normally going to be quite short.
