Folks,
Could you advice me on if I need to scan a auxillary storage device such as a thumb flash drive. And if so, how often?
I have a Windows 7 OS, and Norton antivirus & spyware prevention.
Thanks in advance.

Unless they have changed things in Norton Antivirus, you should be able enable a setting that will automatically scan external drives like flash drives when you plug them in.
Now, this could be a pain if you also use an external USB (or Firewire) hard drive as it will likely also result in that drive being scanned every time you attach it or maybe even every time you reboot if you leave it attached all the time.
