Your CPU speed throttles back when not in use. Run prime95, intelburntest, or OCCT to put it under load, and CPUz will report the full speed.

I don't really see the point of an ultrabook - they're compact, but aren't upgradable at all.

It's true, not upgradable, but they are fairly fast, and being so light really means a lot sometimes. But, I would want a 15.3", because I seriously can't stand not having a numpad.

Yeah, I have set it so it throttles back, but CPU-Z is still showing the GPU as Intel Media Accelerator, even though it shows both. What I mean is, when I hit validate, it chooses the Intel Media Accelerator to show in the sig, even though I've set the GTX 560ti to "default". Oh well, I'll still update my sig.

EDIT: Updated sig, yes it is showing latencies of 11. I think it is because I set it to Auto in the BIOS, going to change that soon. Not today though, I've had enough of messing around in the BIOS for one day.

That is the nature of the Sandy Bridge. It will use what is needed, when it is needed. It is supposedly a power saving thing. Doesn't hurt performance.
