and the only ones to get the blame for this silliness is the music industry itself. $18 for a cd, somebody is gettting rich quick. whats also interesting all the artists and production companies get the same amount of money for cd's. Smells suspiciously like "price fixing".

From the short description of his speech, this guy has it pinned. Now lets come up with a way to make this happen for music genres of all types.

Wow a song is worth 99 cents retail and $150,000 if you steal it. Now I differently know that these people went to school in California and flunked math.

The irony is that 99% of pop music is a rip off of previously created sounds/styles/riffs. Now they just synthesize it all and plagiarize bits and pieces of what others created to come up with a "new" combo.
The "artists" are mostly created puppets sculpted for marketing purposes......very little creativity.
That doesn't justify stealing....but stealing and greed go both ways, eh?
