I have tried every method suggested to me and have never made an e-mail contact with a human being instead of a machine. This is no small problem for me as I am quite deaf and cannot use a phone. E-mail is all I have available. Does anyone have a suggestion that they think will work?

Usually, on the 'contact us' page, businesses like amazon and microsoft have an email address available.

Hi. I know the feeling as I am nearly in the same boat. Usauly most places will have a "Contact Us" button and you have to submit the email and wait for a response. Some do offer " Live Chat" as well.

My experience is that with many companies, using their email option for customer or technical support gets you an immediate, automated response promising you that you'll get a real contact soon. And that's all it gives you.
Many also offer chat, which I find to be a better solution than a phone call even if you're not hearing-impaired. You don't have to wait as long.

What I've found is that the email option works fine, but they take a week or so to respond a lot of the time. For instance, I contacted asus via email, asking about the color temp. of a monitor, and they took a week to respond. AND they didn't give me a helpful answer. (ok then, I will NOT be buying any asus products from now on..)

Thanks Lincoln. I knew you would come up with a useable answer, even if it is not useable, if you know what I nean. It is too bad that Amazon gives you neither chat nor any other way that I have found to make contact. Windows is almost as bad, but there is evidence that somebody has made contact with them al least once. Thanks again for your help.
